Request to Perform Defensible Space Vegetation Clearing
Vandenberg Village Community Services District (VVCSD) may allow owners or tenants of residential lots adjacent to Lot 54 to trim trees and clear brush on Open Space Lot 54 subject to the following:
Requirements
Submit the attached application and obtain District approval before commencing work
Provide before and after photographs
Fly-chip or remove tree, shrub, and all cuttings within 5 days
Allowable activities (within 50 feet of the property line)
Cutting grass
Trimming or removing shrubs that are less than waist height
Removing lower branches from trees (“limb-up” trees)
Prohibited activities
Cutting down any trees
Using pesticides or herbicides
Harming wildlife
Any work beyond 50 feet from the property line
